Cara Box Reveal and Vine App

 

I participated in my first ever Cara Box swap this month.  This month's theme was "resolutions."  I was so excited to find out Myranda from Pretty Living PDX was sending me my package.  She is such a sweetheart and truly one of my favorite people I've met in blog land.  

The box she sent me is so thoughtful.  I told her how I want to increase my clean eating habits, and she sent me a cookbook magazine.  Clean Eating is one of my favorite magazines, and I am so excited to find new recipes for my family.

I told her I wanted to start getting up and getting dressed in the morning.  Since I became a stay-at-home mom I have been living in sweats.  One of my resolutions was to quit letting myself go, and put an effort into my looks.  I'm sure the hubs hasn't been appreciating the man sweats I wear from time to time.  Myranda hooked me up with three adorable socks.  They're the perfect encouragement to get dressed, and they automatically put a smile on my face.

And the chocolates were just because!   Umm...YAY!  Myranda did a fantastic job on my Cara Box.  I sent my box to Luana from La Petite Lulu.  Go check out my two ladies' lovely blogs.

If you don't know what a Cara Box let me fill you in.  It's a gift exchange that gives encouragement, an opportunity to meet other fab women, and get awesome things in the mail.  Each month you get paired up with another blogger and you send gifts depending on the theme of the month.  A different blogger sends you your gift, so every month you meet two wonderful ladies!  And who doesn't like giving and receiving gifts?

If you've been on your social media accounts this weekend you have seen endless posts about the app, Vine.  I created an account yesterday after hearing about it from Living in Yellow.  Come find me: Glam Hungry Mom.  My name was Andrea Bai, but there was another Andrea Bai.  That's a first.  I thought I was the only one. Le sigh.

I'm liking the app for the most part.  However, I saw a very NSFW video of a woman and her toy show up on my feed.  Seriously?!  The video was so close up I'm pretty sure I saw her cervix.  No one wants to see a herpes breakout first thing in the morning..or ever.  You know what the worst part was?  It was an editor's pick!  That editor better get some sort of punishment.  What if my son saw that?  Not cool.  Not cool at all.  I like being able to see everyone's day though.  As long as they take care of the porn I'll stay.  Hear that Vine?  Get rid of the porn.  It's like ChatRoulette and we all know how that crazy crashed and burned.

How do I possibly transition to another topic after that?  I don't think I can.  Till next time friends!
