Weekend Catch Up + Grammy Awards Love

If you follow me on facebook, you may have seen this picture already.  That's a lot of snow and one hot mess of a face.  That's my "I'm going to fall down in two seconds and soak my leggings" face.  Now it's much taller after the plows have gone through my little lane.  I won't be going near that.

How cute is my turband?  I purchased it from Kayma Boutique, and may have gotten it in black and red as well.  

My coconut had so much fun on his "sleigh" that he wanted to "do it myself."  I love watching him set his mind to something and the smile he gets from accomplishing his tasks.  He's growing up so fast!  I mean all weekend long we have been watching dinosaur and animal documentaries on Netflix.  We watched Finding Nemo once, and the rest were BBC, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic documentaries.  He has been soaking everything in telling me how T-Rex fights and eats Triceratops, T-Rex has a "yucky germs in his mouth," Deinonychus is mean, and Stegosaurus eats leaves.  I am one proud mama!  

On to the Grammy Awards!

Can we just talk about how stunning Rihanna looked?  Her dress, makeup, and hair were sheer perfection.  No pun intended.  Regardless of her personal life, which is just that - personal and not my business, she was on point.  She was hands down the best dressed at the Grammys.


If you read my last blog post, or follow me on instagram, you know I love all things Marley.  I love what they stand for, the family pride, the coffee, and of course the music.  Bob, Damian, Stephen, or Ziggy play in my house almost every day.  Moms: if you are looking for a new children's album I highly recommend any of Ziggy's.  I have been re-watching/dancing/singing along to the Grammy Awards Bob Marley Tribute.  Bruno Mars + Sting + Rihanna + Ziggy + Damian?!?!?!?!   I was having a musicgasm.  I just made up a word.  Deal with it.

Side note: Damian Marley (and Damien Rice) may or may not have influenced my decision to name my son Damian.  Just saying.

I love Carrie Underwood to death, but her dressed reminded me of Tierra's first dress on The Bachelor.  Anyone else?  That's just bad juju.  It's amazing how Carrie Underwood can look absolutely breathtaking in this dress, but when Tierra wore a similar dress I just think psycho.
