I know my little photo diary is a little late but I had to share my Alaska cruise photos. I am an avid cruiser and truly think it’s one of the best ways to travel with a family. There are great kids programs, fun cooking classes for me, and great reading spots for Pat. Plus, free food. Do you need any other reason than that?
This was the first time I have cruised with Holland America in 20 years and it was fun to try the line again. Although, being able to unplug for a week was nice. Okay okay, we had service in port. It’s not like we were out of the country the whole time. Pat was on the phone working while we were in port, but for the most part he was able to put the phone down. Having quality family time is what it’s all about!
I 100% over packed for the trip. In the past, I would have been solid. That was before kids, eating dinner in the dining room vs. buffet, and out partying all night long. I guess I grew so accustomed to changing 3+ times a day I didn’t even think about it. I definitely want to cruise with my family again the next time we can take a vacation. I might go back to my tried and true Princess or try Royal Caribbean or Disney. I’ve cruised to Mexico, Alaska (several times with different lines), Hawaii (several times), and the Caribbean. I miss Europe so much and think a Mediterranean cruise would be divine! I love truly exploring Europe but would rather wait till the kids are teenagers.
Have you guys cruised to Alaska or anywhere else? Do you have a favorite line?
