Friday Favorites: Best Drugstore Dry Shampoo

Suave Dry Shampoo

With my long hair, (which will soon change and be explained later in the post) I don’t like to wash my hair everyday.  It’s long, thick, and takes forever to dry.  What keeps my roots from being oily and limp?  Dry Shampoo!  It is seriously the best invention ever for moms and busy women.

I’ve tried higher end dry shampoos and they work great, but not for my wallet.  I decided to try drugstore brands but they failed to please me.  After a long search I can finally say I found an effective and cheap dry shampoo, Suave’s Dry Shampoo Spray.  All you have to do is shake the bottle, spray at your roots, wait a minute or two, and rub it in with your hands.  Feel free to style your hair how you want!  How easy is that?

I even like to use dry shampoo on just washed hair to give it some texture.  It works great for braids and beachy hair.

Alright, I said my long hair is going to change.  Today I am going to cut my long locks (like almost to my butt long) into a lob (long bob).  It’s going to be above my shoulders or right at the shoulders.  I’m so nervous!  I haven’t had hair above my shoulders since I was a kid.  I don’t even know how to style it.  Can you even do updos with lobs?  I need your help!  I have tons of long hair tips, but none for short hair.  Help help help!!

I’ll show before and after posts pictures on Monday.  Pray for me guys.  My hair has been my security blanket and a source of a little self esteem.  I hope that I actually go through with it…..

Oh, and hopefully I don’t look like crap.

Have a great weekend!

I think whatever you do with your hair will look beautiful but don’t do it!!!!! That’s all I have to say. I chopped mine all off 5 years ago and it’s finally getting long again, I missed it so much! BUT I can tell you that If you do cut it you will never have that urge to do so again so embrace it!!!! Ps. Thanks for the dry shampoo tip… I always get one at sephora for like $24 and that kills the pockets. Xo!

Right?! I usually end up getting the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo because it goes on clear, but Suave is way cheaper!

I’ve been looking for relatively cheap dry shampoo so this made my day!!! I have long, thick hair, too, so I feel your pain when it comes to washing/drying it. =)

I always use dry shampoo! it’s great for those in between days isn’t it? I find it helps when putting my hair up too, gives it a bit more texture. I usually get Fudge or Tigi from Hairtrade as that is the cheapest place you can get it at the moment x

I’ve been wanting to try Dry Shampoo forever!!! Nice to see a review from someone with long hair like me! I heard some comments about it leaving ‘white stuff’ behind?? Have you noticed that?

I know this post is old – but I just came across your blog recently!
