This past week was a pretty big one with my youngest coconut, Paxton. For the past month or two he has refused to go into any childcare situation. I’m talking places he used to love and play in – the gym, church, and MOPS. I was paying for an expensive gym membership and wasn’t able to use it. Last week he finally started going to the gym childcare.
I needed that. My mom gut needed that.
Okay, who am I kidding. I have a gut cause I love Popeye’s and chocolate cake.
I love my children and I don’t like to be away from them. However, that hour in the gym is so good for my body and mind. I get to kind of zone out and take care of myself. That’s not something I do often.
Oh, and I potty trained him…
IN TWO DAYS!
I potty trained both my coconuts in two days. I think I may need to write a blog post on how I do it. I’ve had quite a few girlfriends and snapchat followers ask about it.
Anyhow, back to the gym. I recently tried BodyPump and loved it. How did I not know about this before? It’s exactly what I want from a class!
After a workout I need to replenish my body. Most of the time I will have a protein shake. This shake has been on repeat this past week. I hope you love it just as much as me!
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/3 cup frozen pineapple tidbits
- 2 scoops Vi protein powder
- Add ingredients into blender as listed
- Add ice for a thicker shake. I use the frozen berries as my ice and will blend a cube or two (or three) depending on how I feel.
- I love using the Vi protein powder because it tastes like cake!
I’m very picky about my protein powders. I don’t like ones with an aftertaste, chalky feel, or unpleasant flavors. I really love Vi. I used to buy them from Amazon, but now get them from a friend who is a distributor.
I need to focus on my diet so much more. I lost 10 pounds and gained 5 back. It’s the most frustrating thing when you’re eating well. I need to stop waiting till 2 in the afternoon to eat. My body holds onto all the fat because my metabolism is all messed up. You think I’ve adjusted knowing this information? Of course not. I need some easy breakfast ideas that aren’t yogurt and fruit.
Have any easy, quick, healthy meal ideas to share? Any faves? I need all the help.
